CAMERON MACDONALD - Cameron is a powerful Singer/Actor, with a voice that spans several genres. This has seen him travel the world, and forge a successful career on the Australian stage and screen. Credits include the Australian premiere of Altar Boyz playing “Matthew”, and 3 years in the Australian and New Zealand tour of Jersey Boys, covering many roles.
Other theatre credits include “Jesus” in Godspell, Sondheim’s Passion, Miss Saigon, MAMMA MIA!, Georgy Girl, Life’s a Circus, Songs For a New World, Guys & Dolls, “Charlie Brown” in You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, “Britt Craig/Gov. Slaton” in Parade (Green Room Award Nomination for Best Supporting Actor) and “Roger” in Pangdemonium’s 20th Anniversary production of RENT, in Singapore.
In 2014, Cameron achieved a boyhood goal when he sang Australia’s National Anthem at the Boxing Day cricket test between Australia & India. Most recently, Cameron played “Tunny” in the Australian premiere of American Idiot, to critical acclaim. TV credits include: Neighbours (Cory Helpmann), Blue Heelers (Jesse Dawson), The Dr Blake Mysteries (Nathan Eaton), 800 Words (Noah), and most recently The Divorce (ABC and Opera Australia).
Cameron is currently in the original Australian cast of Beautiful – The Carole King Musical which opened at Sydney’s Lyric Theatre in September 2017.
