ABOUT SHOW QUEEN

Since its launch in 2007, Show Queen has showcased the talents of hundreds of artists and drawn thousands of ‘theatre queens’ through the doors.

Each month we feature a hand-picked lineup of Australia's best and brightest musical stars and cabaret performers - direct from current and upcoming musicals in Sydney and around the country.

Trevor ASHLEY - Host/starring

Trevor Ashley is often described as ‘the busiest man in Australian show-business’. Whether it be as a writer, musical director, performer or producer – there truly is no end to his talents.

Recently, Trevor appeared to a sold-out concert at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall, in his one-man-show Diamonds are for Trevor, a tribute to Dame Shirley Bassey, which was also featured on Foxtel Arts.

Trevor began SHOW QUEEN in 2007 to highlight the exceptional emerging talent in Australia, and only put it on hold to cement his status as the 'busiest man in Australian show-business' amid sell-out tours of Liza on an 'E, Liza's Back (Is Broken) and Diamonds Are For Trevor (also broadcast on Foxtel), and leading roles in Hairspray, Les Miserables (Helpmann Award nominee) and Jesus Christ Superstar, as well directing Heathers: The Musical (Hayes Theatre Co and Sydney Opera House) and Mack & Mabel (Hayes Theatre Co).

His career in cabaret has led him to perform in New York, Vienna, London and across Asia, in shows both as himself and in a dazzling array of characters and impersonations. Over the past three years the controversial show Liza (On an E), has sold out seasons nationally, receiving rave reviews, and the show took Europe by storm with hit performances in Austria and a critically acclaimed debut season on London’s West End.

chris archer & david emery - producers

Chris and Dave met in March 2017 and the rest is history, basically.

Having both been raised on the music of Rodgers & Hammerstein, Sondheim and Lloyd Webber, it didn't take long for ARCHERY PRODUCTIONS to be born.

Though new to the world of theatre production - Dave is a television producer and presenter and Chris has a background in performance.

Back in 2007 when SHOW QUEEN started, Chris would attend every Sunday like 'church'  - and naturally became friends with Trevor.

Now the plan is to continue producing events we love, with people we love.

Love is love.
